Greg Liney worked in the wine industry for 20 years, having developed a palate for wine allowed him to merge into a more complex world of coffee and appreciating excellent coffee. Along with a history of grape growing, gave him a passion for caring for the farmers, who grow the coffee beans for a huge world market, and often suffer the most in the world economic system. Green coffee beans are the second most traded commodity in the world, next to oil, yet the countries that produce coffee are amongst the poorest countries in the world. With this knowledge, Greg chooses to only source coffee that is traded outside the base commodity market and uses small, independent ethical brokers and importers.
