Fetherston ‘Peony’ Rose 2019
The Fetherston Vintners 2019 ‘Peony’ Rosé is crafted from 67% Pinot Noir, 21% Syrah and 12% Nebbiolo. The majority of this fruit was biologically grown by Fetherston Vintners in Yarra Glen, with a small component sourced from Yellingbo in the Upper Yarra. Hand-picked in early March 2019, this wine was fermented wild in neutral French oak barriques. It spent 3 months on lees in barrel with regular stirring prior to release.
Pale copper in colour, this wine displays aromas of sweet white blooms, blackcurrant, sherbet, vanilla and freshly cut grass. Bone dry and elegantly structured, the palate is tight and taut with elements of white mulberry, pepper and delicate spice.
