Jaccob McKays – EXHIBITION – 22nd APRIL TO 24th JUNE
Jaccob McKay is a young multidisciplinary artist from Silvan, Victoria whose work spreads across the fields of composition & sound art, photography, sculpture & installation, digital media and beyond.
Drawing inspiration from his birthplace in the Yarra Valley, many of his works have a strong relationship with the natural world and elements of this inspiration can be found in obvious ways such as direct visual adaptation in photography, and subtle inclusions such as field recordings incorporated into sound works. With camera and digital recorder in hand, he frequently explores the forests, fields and mountains of the surrounding area, collecting inspiration and materials for the creation of new works.
Jaccob is currently completing a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interactive Composition at the Victorian College of the Arts.
