Alkimi Pinot Noir 2021
Red fruit tones of cherry, raspberry and stewed strawberry. Underneath these notes are earthy notes of forest floor and capers and there are also hints of spice such as clove, star anise and nutmeg. A choc-orange note sits alongside, which integrates into bready and yeasty tones. The palate is brooding and savoury with dark cherry and strawberry notes. These notes marry with the earthy tones as well as oak spice and dried rose petal notes. The tannin is supple and integrated into the wine where there is a bright raspberry and choc-orange note finish.
