Discover the Magic of Wet Felting Join a 8-week course with experienced textile artist Carolyn and learn to manipulate beautiful natural fibres into stunning fabrics. Explore 2D and 3D techniques, including stitch layering, and create unique pieces.
Students are required to purchase a supplies kit, $30.
Includes: Purchases of packs of dyed wool tops, silk tops, silk hankies, wool/silk blends some embroidery products as required. Choice of colours provided.
1pm – 3pm
Students are required to bring:
Two old bath towels, one hand towel
One pool noodle, a roll of plastic shelf liner, (available from Bunnings)
One sushi mat, (Safeway or Coles one 30 cm x 30 cm piece of bubble wrap
One light clear plastic sheet (drop sheet from Bunnings)
A bar of Goat soap or other mild soap and a container to carry it in. a bowl for water
A squeeze bottle (tomato sauce etc) for water
A bucket to take wet things home in.
Waterproof apron
Assortment of embroidery needles and threads
Assortment of fabrics from opshops or home (to be discussed in class)
Notebook and pen
