Currently on display at the Artspace Gallery, the Field Exhibition showcases 16 captivating pieces that invite viewers to immerse themselves in a world of sensory delight. Jessie’s signature style, characterized by bold strokes and intricate details, evokes a sense of wonder and joy.

Rachel Williamson

Rachel’s kind and encouraging approach makes her classes a joy for both children and adults.

Mel, a passionate Macrame artist and educator, shares her love for creative expression through workshops for all ages.

Kat Suter

Kat is a Dandenong Ranges raffia artist who specialises in the natural dyeing of raffia.

 

Raffia is the leaf from the raffia farinferna palm tree, native to Madagascar. This strong, sustainable and biodegradable fibre is perfect for creating slow, mindful and useful art that can nourish and soothe your soul. The Raffia Kat aims to encourage your unique raffia talents – with no stitch or tension right or wrong.

Kate Taylor is a skilled fiber artist with a deep understanding of various fiber techniques.

Her work showcases a masterful command of colour, texture, and form, resulting in unique and captivating pieces.

Whether it’s through needle felting, wet felting, pastel drawing acrylic painting or watercolour, Kate’s eye for detail shines through in every creation.

Carolyn Rogers

My work starts with blank canvases, so to speak, blank, white fabrics or fibres. These come to life when I add colours and texture, whether it be by dyeing, printing, or stencilling, or drawing tight stitches of Shibori to give exquisite dimensionality. To complete the picture, the addition of machine or hand stitching.
