Round Bird was born out of long nurtured dreaming’s and an irresistible desire to fly solo.
Many late nights, tattered recipe page, and strong coffee’s later Round Bird hopped out of dreams and into reality.
Our food philosophy is to cook for our customers like we would for house guests; wholesome comfort food prepared with love to be enjoyed amongst friend and family.
We source our products from local suppliers, to reduce food miles from the farm to your plate.
Five years on, Round Bird has grown to include a full pantry store of local artisan and in-house products showcasing local produce at its finest. We are proud to live in, work with, and support our local community.

Round Bird Art Space
Upstairs Community Art Gallery & Workshop
Art space provides artists with an affordable opportunity to showcase their work either as a solo exhibition or a group show. The gallery space is freshly renovated and is a modern, light filled space with neutral flooring and walls.
This aesthetic ensures that each artist’s art is the focal point and can be professionally displayed on flexible hanging tracks. Adjustable lighting is installed and can be positioned to best highlight artwork.
A limited number of plinths can be used for sculpture installation, artists may also add to this if required.
Artists are encouraged to make the very best use of their exhibition time, in addition to the opening event. Artists can run; artist talks, workshops in the additional space can be arranged and artist’s can choose to work in the space for a few sessions if their art practice is suitable for this concept. The concept is to allow artists to create their own exhibition experience for community connection.

Round Bird Wine Merchants is a boutique wine purveyor located in Lilydale, at the gateway to the Yarra Valley. Being so close to such an iconic wine producing area, combined with our commitment to promoting local produce, we naturally have a specific focus on winemakers and vineyards located in the Yarra Valley. All our wines are made by small, independent, local winemakers you simply will not find in the bigger chains. They work hard, they craft beautifully, and the result is wines of incredible quality at prices that surprise. Honestly, the wines all punch well above their weight.
We are constantly searching, and adding to our collection of local wines, with local beer makers and spirit makers also joining the ranks.

Art Workshops
Versatile spaces for 12-60 people
The second area within the art space is a dedicated workshop space. It is available to the community to book for workshops and classes. Although creative classes are encouraged, the space is also suitable and welcoming of other groups.
The workshop area is well equipped and provides tables and chairs, a kitchenette with basic supplies and is self contained and has street access.
Your workshop experience is paired with a choice of several catering packages by Round Bird Food and Wine. They deliver upstairs to your workshop space, or a table can be set up ready for your group after you class. The exceptional food and coffees and the dedicated time to connect with others is sure to compliment your time of creativity and build community and friendships within your class.
